A2K-TDC-3M NMEA2000 Micro Cable Assembly - 3M
Available in various lengths, the cable assemblies can be used as either a drop cable from a NMEA 2000 backbone or to extend the length of the backbone cable.
Actisense Lite cable assemblies allow quick installation and come with quality reassurance as only the Actisense UL-certified cable is used.
NMEA 2000 cable includes five wires within a single waterproof cable: power and ground wires, two signal (data) wires, and a drain wire. The drain wire connects to the cable shield, which protects the signal, power, and ground wires from external Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) and helps reduce RFI emission from the cable.
NMEA 2000 Lite cable can be used to create a backbone up to 100 meters in length. If the backbone length required exceeds 100 meters, the center of the bus can be extended with an NMEA 2000 mini cable to keep the outer Lite sections to the 100-meter maximum.
The maximum length of a drop cable (distance from the backbone) is 6 meters. It is important to limit each drop length to the minimum required, as the total of all drop lengths must not exceed 72 meters.

The maximum drop cable length from the backbone to connected devices is 6 meters, with the total network length not exceeding 72 meters for reliable operation. The connectors feature brass, gold-plated male contacts and phosphor bronze, gold-plated female contacts, ensuring excellent electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance. The rugged housing, made of black PVC with a rubber O-ring seal, provides IP67 protection when mated, making it suitable for harsh marine environments.
This cable features a 22 AWG power pair, 24 AWG data pair, and 22 AWG drain wire, all constructed from tinned copper strands for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance. The cable’s outer diameter measures approximately 0.27 inches, and it weighs about 0.8 pounds. Operating temperature ranges from -20°C to +70°C, with storage capabilities from -40°C to +85°C.
