This device seamlessly converts Ethernet signals from 10/100/1000Base-TX (RJ-45) to 1000Base-X via an open SFP port, allowing users to customize connections with SX, LX, or BX modules based on their specific needs. The open SFP port enhances flexibility, enabling longer-distance fiber optic transmission to extend network reach beyond the typical 100-meter copper limitation. This media converter is designed for reliable performance, supporting data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbps over twisted pair cables, making it ideal for high-speed network upgrades and expansions. Its PoE+ capability (Power over Ethernet Plus) supplies power to IEEE802.3at compliant powered devices over Cat5 or higher UTP cables, with a maximum power output of 30 watts. As a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), it simplifies deployment by combining data and power over a single cable, reducing infrastructure costs. The device includes a single port PSE controller, featuring PD signature sensing and power monitoring, alongside over-current protection and link fault pass-through (LFP) functions. LFP ensures network stability by monitoring both fiber and copper ports for signal loss; if a loss occurs, the converter automatically disables the affected port to prevent network disruptions. This media converter is TAA compliant and manufactured in China by AddOn, backed by a three-year limited warranty.
