The Advantech ADAM-5000/TCP-CE is an Ethernet-based remote I/O module designed for automation applications and eAutomation architectures. Part of the ADAM-5000 series, this DIN rail system provides four-slot distributed data acquisition and control in an ABS housing, with remote configuration and data access through Ethernet.

The system features a 10/100Base-T auto-negotiation communication port and supports Modbus/TCP for integration with compatible control and monitoring systems. UDP event handling helps manage network-based events, while 1500 VDC Ethernet communication isolation supports system connectivity. A built-in watchdog timer provides automatic system reset functionality.

Configuration and management are supported through a Windows utility with tools for I/O module configuration and calibration, network auto searching, data stream settings, current status monitoring, and alarm triggering. The ADAM-5000/TCP-CE also provides C and .NET class libraries for application development and supports remote configuration via Ethernet.

With eight I/O slots supporting up to 128 points for data monitoring and control, the system is designed for centralized management of distributed I/O.
