The Airmar R109C-LM R109LM is a 2 kW low/medium CHIRP thru-hull transducer designed for serious offshore and commercial fishing applications. It provides reliable depth data and fast-response water-temperature sensing, with low-frequency performance for deep-water detection and medium-frequency response for improved target detail. The bare-wire configuration is supplied without a connector, allowing integration with compatible sonar systems and installation-specific wiring requirements.

Low-frequency CHIRP sweeps from 38 to 75 kHz and reaches depths up to 6,000 feet, while the medium-frequency band operates from 80 to 130 kHz with a maximum depth capability of 3,000 feet. With 87 kHz of combined bandwidth, the R109LM covers popular fishing frequencies including 38, 50, 88, and 107 kHz, along with the frequencies between them. CHIRP technology delivers significantly greater detail and resolution than conventional fixed-frequency operation, helping anglers identify structure, bait, and game fish more clearly.

The urethane housing and epoxy/urethane acoustic window are built for durable thru-hull installation on vessels up to 40 feet and larger. The included fairing helps optimize the transducer’s performance on hulls with deadrise angles up to 25 degrees, while the transducer is compatible with all common hull materials. A 49-foot cable supports flexible equipment placement, and patented Xducer ID technology simplifies identification with compatible systems. The Airmar R109C-LM is also available in alternate mounting configurations, including in-hull and pocket, keel, or welded-tank models.
