The Allied Telesis MMC2000LX/LC Transceiver/Media Converter offers a compact yet powerful solution for extending network connectivity in various environments. Designed with an environmentally friendly approach, this device features an industry-leading power consumption of just 1.7W, making it suitable for energy-conscious applications. Its small form factor allows for easy rack-mount installation, saving valuable space without sacrificing functionality. The MMC Series supports both fiber-optic and twisted-pair copper connections, with options for fixed SC, ST, LC, or SFP fiber connectors capable of multi-mode or single-mode fiber, and RJ-45 copper ports supporting 100Mbps or 1000Mbps speeds. These versatile configurations enable seamless integration into diverse network infrastructures, whether for backbone, data center, or edge deployments.

The device supports advanced network features such as IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, ensuring compatibility with modern, VLAN-enabled network segments that handle long packets efficiently. Its store-and-forward switching mode with 2,000 MAC address tables guarantees reliable data transmission and efficient traffic management. Additionally, the MMC2000LX/LC includes innovative features like Smart MissingLink (SML), which monitors network segments and provides real-time notifications of failures, allowing for quick troubleshooting. Smart Link Restoration automatically re-establishes network links after interruptions, minimizing downtime.

Built to operate reliably in harsh conditions, the converter offers an extended temperature range from -40°C to 70°C (-40°F to 158°F). It supports jumbo packets up to 10K bytes, ensuring high-capacity data transfer for demanding applications. Auto Negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX features on the copper port simplify setup by automatically configuring the connection type. The device also supports Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE) on copper ports, further reducing power consumption. With LEDs for link and activity status per port, network administrators can easily monitor connections. Included accessories such as an AC power supply make deployment straightforward, and its compliance with WEEE and TAA standards underscores Allied Telesis’s commitment to sustainability and regulatory adherence.
