Designed with an isolated ground and common rail terminal block, this 12-volt alternator is specifically intended for Yanmar Common Rail engines introduced after 2013, including JH-CR, 3JH40, 4JH45, 4JH57, 4JH80, and 4JH110 applications. Its high-output design rapidly charges large battery banks and provides additional electrical power directly from the engine, helping reduce reliance on a separate generator.
The Zeus A225S uses heat-shedding coatings, an externally mounted rectifier, dual cooling fans, and OEM components to support cooler operation and sustained output. The alternator operates 8–20% cooler than many conventional alternators, while E-Coat or black Cerakote finishes help manage heat for consistent amperage delivery. It is optimized for performance at idle speeds, delivering up to 157 amps of sustained hot output at idle, 187 amps during sustained hot cruising operation, and a maximum cold output of 254 amps. The alternator is SAE J1171 certified for marine use and is proudly made in the U.S.A.
Internal regulation is standard, with an adapter available for optional external regulation. Pairing the alternator with the ARCO Zeus Bluetooth Alternator Regulator can provide maximum performance and enhanced lithium battery charging control. The alternator includes a side-mount M8 battery post, six-groove 49-millimeter pulley, pulley hardware, and a common rail terminal block.
