These capabilities help improve multi-user efficiency, support connected IoT device battery life, and provide stronger wireless security. Aruba ClientMatch technology helps steer clients toward the access point offering the best radio signal.

The AP-505 can be managed through HPE Aruba Networking Central, an AI-powered platform that provides unified visibility and control across campus, branch, remote office, data center, and IoT networks. An integrated IoT radio supports Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee wireless protocols, while the integrated USB port enables third-party expansion.

Security features include Dynamic Segmentation, policy enforcement firewalls, WPA3, Enhanced Open, and an installed Trusted Platform Module for protected storage of credentials, keys, and boot code. The access point uses an internal antenna and includes Ethernet, management, and PoE PD connectivity for deployment within supported indoor network installations.
