Equipped with a built-in single-port power switch, the KN1000A allows remote power management, including turning servers on or off and performing reboots. Administrators can extend control by integrating an ATEN PDU to manage additional devices' power status. The device also supports serial console management over the Internet, providing remote control over serial devices like network switches. Its versatile connectivity options—including PS/2, USB, Sun Legacy (13W3), and RS-232—make it compatible with a wide range of server hardware and serial equipment.

The device features a user-friendly on-screen display (OSD), virtual media support for file transfers and system diagnostics, and a high video resolution of up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz with 24-bit color depth, ensuring clarity during remote sessions.
