This 1U rack-mountable console combines an integrated LED-backlit 17 or 19-inch LCD monitor with a retractable keyboard and touchpad, allowing easy control of up to eight computers from a single console. The independent sliding modules enable the monitor to rotate flush against the rack for space-saving storage, while the keyboard and touchpad slide back when not in use for a clutter-free environment. This design facilitates quick monitoring and seamless management of multiple servers and systems without occupying valuable rack space. The unit supports external USB mice and offers multiplatform compatibility, including PC, Mac, Sun, and serial interfaces, making it suitable for diverse IT environments. Its flexible cabling options include space-efficient RJ-45 connectors and Cat 5e/6 cabling, along with automatic conversion KVM adapter cables that support various interface types, simplifying installation and enhancing compatibility. The KL1508AiN also features a dedicated console port for managing connected computers from an external monitor and peripherals, providing additional control options.
