It is fully compliant with the Multi-Source Agreement (MSA), enabling use with MSA-compliant equipment from multiple manufacturers. The QSFP+ connector on one end connects to four SFP+ network interfaces, helping simplify connections between 40GbE and four 10GbE ports without requiring separate optical transceivers.
