The Axiom Memory Solutions SFN7042Q-AX 40GbE dual-port QSFP+ network adapter delivers high-performance Ethernet connectivity for servers, workstations, and high-end network appliances. Designed for installation in a PCI Express 3.0 x8 expansion slot, this plug-in card supports 40GBase-X fiber networking and provides two 40 Gigabit Ethernet ports through a single expansion slot. It is based on the Intel XL710AM Ethernet controller and is suited for demanding data center, virtualization, storage, and mission-critical networking environments.
The adapter supports advanced network virtualization and unified networking capabilities, helping organizations manage LAN and storage traffic over a single connection. VXLAN and NVGRE offloads reduce processing demands, while support for NAS protocols such as SMB and NFS, along with SAN technologies including iSCSI and FCoE, helps streamline infrastructure deployment.
