The Axiom SFP-GE40KM-AX 1000BASE-EX SFP transceiver provides dependable Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for compatible Juniper networking equipment and other MSA-compliant platforms. This Axiom SFP, also known as a mini-GBIC, is pre-configured with application-specific coding to support reliable communication between the transceiver and network hardware. It is designed to perform, fit, and function like an original equipment transceiver while providing broad compatibility across compliant network environments.
Supporting 1000BASE-EX technology, the Axiom SFP-GE40KM-AX delivers data transfer speeds up to 1,000 Mbps over single-mode fiber optic cable. Its long-distance optical design helps maintain signal integrity while minimizing attenuation and dispersion, making it suitable for extending Gigabit Ethernet connectivity between network devices. The module operates across commonly used 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelength ranges and is well suited for enterprise, data center, campus, and service provider networks that require reliable fiber-based performance.
