The controller supports multiple authentication methods, including cards, PIN codes, Bluetooth credentials, dynamic QR codes for mobile access, license plates for vehicle access, and multi-factor authentication. It can operate with AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry or compatible partner solutions to create a scalable video and access control system. Compatibility includes AXIS A9188, A9188-VE, and A9210 network I/O relay modules, along with AXIS A4020-E, A4120-E, and A4612 readers.

AXIS Edge Vault helps safeguard the device and sensitive information against unauthorized access. Cryptographic keys are protected within an onboard EAL6+ certified compute module, supporting secure device operation and credential management.
