The AXIS S2224 Mk II Camera Station Rack Appliance is a 24-channel video surveillance station designed for larger installations, including manufacturing sites and commercial buildings. It includes AXIS Camera Station Pro licenses, a 24-port PoE switch, and 12 TB of storage, with preloaded software and tools to help minimize installation time.

Built for flexible, on-premises surveillance management, the appliance includes two empty bays for storage expansion and supports AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage when cloud recording is preferred. Multiple RAID configurations, including RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10, provide flexible storage and redundancy options. The recorder also supports AI applications such as Smart Search 2, while an additional uplink port enables system expansion using the AXIS S30 Recorder Series.

Installation and maintenance are streamlined with AXIS Recorder Toolbox, which includes a wizard for configuring the hostname, network settings, and date and time. A dashboard provides information about the built-in switch, including uptime, current configuration, and basic settings. The appliance includes rack rails and a power cord, and is backed by a 5-year limited hardware warranty with advanced replacement service.

Security features include an encrypted operating system and recordings, a FIPS 140-2 Level 2 certified TPM, secure boot, and physical isolation of connected devices from the external network.
