The AXIS T6101 Mk II Audio and I/O Interface adds audio and digital input/output capabilities to compatible Axis surveillance cameras. Using AXIS portcast technology, the interface transfers audio and I/O data digitally over the network cable between the camera and the interface, helping simplify system design while expanding camera functionality. This Axis Communications interface is designed for professional surveillance applications and integrates with supported camera models without requiring an additional IP address.
Expand surveillance functionality
The AXIS T6101 Mk II supports connection to an external microphone for audio recording and audio analytics. When paired with an external speaker, it can play audio clips for announcements, warnings, or other security responses. Digital inputs and outputs allow compatible external sensors, detectors, and alarm devices to trigger camera actions or other configured events. These capabilities help extend the role of compatible Axis cameras beyond video monitoring.
Simple installation and integration
Plug-and-play installation uses a single Ethernet cable between the camera and network switch, reducing cabling complexity and supporting a clean, efficient deployment. The interface can integrate with compatible video management software without requiring additional VMS licenses or separate IP addresses. Its compact, purpose-built design makes it a practical choice for adding audio and I/O features to supported Axis dome and panoramic cameras.
The AXIS T6101 Mk II is compatible with selected Axis dome cameras, including the M3085-V, M3086-V, M3088-V, M4215-LV, M4215-V, M4216-LV, M4216-V, M4218-LV, and M4218-V, as well as the AXIS M4327-P and M4328-P panoramic cameras.
