The Black Box LPS535A-SFP is a versatile media converter designed to seamlessly connect fiber and copper networks, delivering reliable power and data transfer at the network edge. This external device features a 10/100/1000 Mbps copper port supporting full-duplex operation, auto-MDI/MDI-X, and auto-negotiation, enabling easy plug-and-play installation without complex configuration. The included SFP port offers flexibility for multimode and single-mode fiber connections, supporting 1000BASE-X standards for high-speed data transfer across long distances. Powered via an external AC adapter operating within 47 to 57 volts, the converter acts as a Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) to supply up to 30 watts of PoE+ power, ideal for connecting and powering devices such as PTZ cameras, access points, and VoIP phones at the network edge. Advanced features like auto-negotiation, Link Loss Forwarding, and Link Fault Pass-Through facilitate system management and troubleshooting, ensuring network stability and quick fault detection. LEDs provide real-time activity status to simplify monitoring and diagnostics.
