The Blue Sea Systems 3117 SMS Panel Enclosure is designed to house two 30A Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupters (ELCI) main circuit breakers operating at 120V AC, providing a reliable solution for marine and industrial electrical systems. Its robust construction features a glass-filled polycarbonate base that resists impact and harsh environments, ensuring long-lasting durability. The clear cover allows for quick visual confirmation of breaker status, helping maintenance and troubleshooting tasks be more efficient. An overlapping cover design enhances strength and gasket protection, keeping moisture and dust out of the enclosure.
Within the enclosure, oversized, formed-in-place seamless PUR gaskets provide excellent sealing, while a stainless steel hinge pin allows for easy removal and installation without obstruction. The stainless steel latch secures the cover firmly without penetrating the enclosure, maintaining integrity and safety. The enclosure includes blank circuit positions that accommodate Carling Technologies A and C Series Flat Rocker switches and ELCI Main circuit breakers, offering flexibility for customization. Waterproof glands are included to seal wiring entries, and LED indicators provide backlighting and ON status, making operation straightforward even in low-light conditions.
Measuring approximately 7.6 inches high by 7.4 inches wide by 4.7 inches deep, the overall enclosure provides ample space for wiring and components while maintaining a compact footprint. The internal dimensions are slightly smaller, designed to fit comfortably within marine or industrial panels. The enclosure's design adheres to ABYC E-11 standards when used with an appropriate ELCI main circuit breaker and mounted within 10 feet of the AC shore power inlet, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
