AIT6000 Class B+ AIS Transponder

Nucleus Class B + AIS Transponder with SPAIS satellite AIS compatibility, alerts an integrated NMEA 2000 wifi Gateway.

The AIT6000 is Digital Yachts Class B+ AIS transponder, set to replace the AIT5000. It retains all the features that made the AIT5000 successfulan integrated and patented ZeroLoss VHF antenna splitter, 5W SOTDMA transmissions, and NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, wireless, and USB interfaceswhile introducing several major innovations:

SPAIS Satellite Tracking

The AIT6000 incorporates Digital Yachts latest SPAIS (space AIS) technology with AIS transmissions now enabled for reception by AIS satellites. This functionality can be easily enabled from the set up menu and will prioritise your AIS transmissions for satellite reception, ideal for offshore and ocean sailors.

Integrated NMEA 2000 Gateway

The AIT6000 has also been designed to become an onboard hub for navigation. It features NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 connectivity for modern navigation systems. It also has PC connectivity via USB and a wireless interface supporting up to 7 tablets or phones which can utilise the data for app integration.

AIT6000 adds a lot of interfacing capability through this WiFi interface with not just AIS and GPS data from the transponder being sent but also boat instrument data from the NMEA 2000 network thanks to its internal NMEA 2000 multiplexer such as depth, heading, speed and wind information.

Built-In Collision Anchor Alarms

The AIT6000 also has a built in interface accessible via any connected device for diagnostics, silence of AIS transmissions and also alerts for anchor drift and AIS closest point of approach (CPA) and time to CPA (TCPA).

These alarms can be monitored through the wireless interface with an attractive graphical display of current status or NMEA 2000 alerts can be sent over the NMEA 2000 network for pop up notifications or NavAlarm audible activations. This allows navigators to receive critical collision-avoidance warnings even when a chartplotter is not in use.

There is also a switched output on the AIT6000 power data cable which allows the alarm to attach to a sounder, relay or connect to a 3rd party system for alert activation.

Web Interface with Integrated Alarms

Installation is simple with an integrated and patented zero-loss VHF antenna splitter so the main VHF antenna is used for both AIS and VHF operation.

The Digital Yacht AIT6000 Class B+ AIS Transponder is an advanced marine safety device designed for offshore and ocean navigation. It features SPAIS satellite AIS compatibility, enabling AIS reception via satellites for enhanced situational awareness in open waters. This makes it an ideal choice for vessels operating beyond traditional VHF range, providing reliable AIS data for collision avoidance and vessel tracking. The transponder retains the popular features of its predecessor, the AIT5000, including a zero-loss VHF antenna splitter, 5W SOTDMA transmissions, and multiple connectivity options such as NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, wireless, and USB interfaces.

Equipped with a built-in NMEA 2000 gateway, the AIT6000 serves as a centralized onboard hub for navigation data. It supports integration with modern navigation systems, allowing seamless sharing of AIS, GPS, and vessel instrument data such as depth, heading, speed, and wind information. The wireless interface can connect up to seven mobile devices, facilitating app-based navigation and data monitoring. This versatility ensures that crew members can access vital navigation information from multiple devices simultaneously.

The AIT6000 also enhances safety with integrated collision and anchor alarms that can be monitored remotely. These alarms include anchor drift detection, closest point of approach (CPA), and time to CPA alerts. Alerts can be visualized via a graphical interface or transmitted over the NMEA 2000 network for audible notifications or integration with third-party systems. An additional switched output allows connection to external sounders, relays, or alarm systems, enabling comprehensive collision avoidance measures. Installation is simplified with an integrated, patented zero-loss VHF antenna splitter, allowing a single antenna to support both AIS and VHF operations, reducing clutter and setup complexity. Overall, the Digital Yacht AIT6000 provides a robust, feature-rich solution for modern marine navigation and safety management, suitable for both recreational and commercial vessels seeking reliable AIS performance and extensive interfacing capabilities.

Features:

  • SPAIS satellite AIS compatibility enables AIS reception via satellites for offshore navigation
  • Integrated NMEA 2000 gateway functions as an onboard hub for navigation and vessel data
  • Supports NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, wireless (WiFi), and USB interfaces for versatile connectivity
  • Built-in collision and anchor alarms with remote monitoring and alert capabilities
  • Zero-loss VHF antenna splitter allows combined AIS and VHF antenna use for simplified installation
