iKreate NMEA 2000 Simulator with USB
For anyone involved in designing, manufacturing, or installing marine electronics, the ability to simulate or replayNMEA2000data is a real advantage and can accelerate software development, demonstrateNMEA2000devices, or help diagnose network issues.
With more and more modern boats having anNMEA2000network at the heart of their navigation system, it is really important that you have the tools to investigate the devices and data on the network should things not work as planned.
Consisting of an iKreate USB interface and an HTML5-based web app, the iKreate simulator can generate any number of NMEA2000 PGNs or replay saved log files of real-life network data from any NMEA2000 system, regardless of brand.
This package includes iKreate to connect to the NMEA 2000 network and the simulator software to generate any number of NMEA2000 PGNs.
Just like our NMEA2000 Display App, the iKreate Simulator takes a new approach and is the Worlds first multi-platform, browser-based NMEA2000 Simulator App that will run on Windows, LINUX, Mac OS X, and Raspbian. There is no installation, and if you can save a file and find it again, then that is as complex as it gets with just a single HTML5 file to worry about (less than 0.5MB in size).
You need to use the app with a browser that supports the Web Serial API, which currently includes Chrome, Chromium, MS Edge, and Opera. We also plan to support Firefox going forward (with its WebSerial Extension), but this was not possible for the first release of the app.

Whats In The Box
The Digital Yacht iKreate NMEA 2000 Simulator with USB offers a versatile and efficient solution for marine electronics professionals involved in designing, testing, and troubleshooting NMEA 2000 networks. This compact device, paired with an intuitive web-based app, allows users to simulate or replay NMEA 2000 PGNs, enabling software development, device demonstration, and network diagnostics with ease. Its compatibility across Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Raspbian platforms ensures broad usability without the need for complex installations. Simply connect the USB interface to your computer, launch the browser-based simulator, and start generating or replaying real-world network data.
The simulator's core features include the ability to create custom PGNs from user-input data via a drop-down menu, or to load saved log files captured from actual onboard systems. Users can organize multiple PGN groups for streamlined testing and save configurations for future use. The data variance function enables the synthesis of changing values, providing realistic simulations for dynamic network conditions. The device supports both USB-A and USB-C connections, offering flexible connectivity options, and includes an integrated 0.8-meter NMEA 2000 and USB cable for straightforward setup. The simulator requires a web browser supporting the Web Serial API, such as Chrome, Chromium, MS Edge, or Opera, with future support planned for Firefox.
The package includes the iKreate USB interface and a software download link, making setup simple and accessible across various platforms. This tool is ideal for marine electronics manufacturers, software developers, and technicians seeking a reliable and portable means to test NMEA 2000 networks without extensive software installation or hardware complexity. Designed for ease of use and broad compatibility, the Digital Yacht iKreate NMEA 2000 Simulator enhances your ability to diagnose network issues, validate device functions, and streamline the development process in marine navigation systems.
