The Eaton Corporation SMX1500XLRT2U is a versatile 1.5kVA/1.5kW line-interactive UPS designed for distributed IT, telecom, and enterprise deployments. The SMX1500XLRT2U features a field-replaceable, hot-swappable VRLA battery module, allowing quick replacement without shutting down connected systems. During brief power disruptions, the UPS seamlessly switches to battery power within milliseconds, giving users sufficient time to save files and shut down equipment safely. Additionally, up to four optional extended battery modules can be connected to extend runtime, making it suitable for longer outages. The integrated LCD display provides real-time status updates and detailed power information, which can be customized across 10 different screens for comprehensive monitoring.

Remote management capabilities are enabled via the optional WEBCARDLXE network interface card, sold separately. This allows for full remote configuration, load shedding, rebooting, and safe shutdowns, ensuring continuous network uptime. Environmental sensors, such as the EnviroSense2 modules, can also be added for monitoring temperature, humidity, and other conditions to optimize equipment longevity.
