The Eaton Tripp Lite SmartRack SRQ18U acoustic server rack cabinet helps reduce operating noise from network and IT equipment while keeping devices organized, protected and accessible. Built for small offices, recording studios, classrooms, retail environments and other noise-sensitive spaces, this 18U enclosure uses sound-dampening foam baffles in the front and rear doors and side panels to reduce acoustic levels by up to 28 decibels. Its professional black steel and MDF construction blends into office and commercial interiors more naturally than a traditional open-frame rack.

Reliable Rack Capacity and Physical Security

The SRQ18U accommodates EIA-standard 19-inch rack equipment with installation depths up to 45 inches. Heavy-duty construction supports stationary and rolling loads up to 750 pounds, while lockable split front and rear doors help deter unauthorized access, tampering and equipment theft. Adjustable vertical mounting rails move in 3/8-inch increments for flexible equipment installation, and numbered rack spaces with square mounting holes simplify setup. A bottom cable brush strip provides a convenient routing path while helping limit dust and debris entry.

Efficient Cooling and Easy Deployment

A purpose-built airflow system draws cool air through the floor intake, moves it horizontally through the cabinet and exhausts warm air through the side panels. Ten integrated fans are arranged in two vertical banks and connect to a six-outlet, 15A power strip, leaving four outlets available for equipment or accessories. The power strip connects to a standard 120V AC outlet. This Eaton Tripp Lite rack ships fully assembled with pre-installed casters for easier positioning through standard doorways and includes a shipping bracket for securing the cabinet in place.

The SRQ18U supports physical security requirements associated with PCI DSS compliance and is RoHS compliant. Rack-mounting hardware, two keys and an owner's manual are included.
