Network Management for Compatible UPS Systems and PDUs

The Eaton WEBCARD-M3 turns a compatible UPS system or PDU into a managed network device. It supports remote management functions such as load shedding, safe shutdowns and remote rebooting of protected equipment attached to load segments. The card also monitors site electrical data, UPS self-test logs, alert logs and recorded power events, including blackouts, brownouts and overvoltage conditions.

Remote Monitoring, Alerts and Software Integration

Receive alert notifications through email or SMS and monitor the connected device in real time using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge web browsers. The WEBCARD-M3 is compatible with Eaton Brightlayer Data Centers software solutions, including Data Center Performance Management, Distributed IT Performance Management, Visual Power Manager, Intelligent Power Manager and Visual Capacity Optimization Manager. A certificate manager helps create and distribute digital certificates to multiple devices.

Flexible Network and System Connectivity

This Gigabit network card supports 10/100/1000 Mbps networks and DHCP or manual network configuration. Supported protocols include HTTPS 1.1, MQTTS, TLS 1.2, SNMPv1, SNMPv3, NTP, SMTPS, BOOTP/DHCP, CLI, SSH, ARP and Syslog IP. REST API support enables system integration and machine-to-machine interactions, while an RS-232/RS-485 connector provides Modbus field bus connectivity. The real-time clock synchronizes with an NTP server to maintain the current date and time after a UPS shutdown.

Environmental Monitoring Option

The separately sold EMPDT1H1C2 Environmental Monitoring Probe Gen 2 adds remote temperature and humidity monitoring, along with a dry contact interface for alarm, security and telecom devices. Up to three EMPDT1H1C2 probes can be daisy-chained to a host. The WEBCARD-M3 is rack mountable, includes a Quick Start Guide and is covered by a 2-year limited warranty.
