The Ericsson CradlePoint R2105-5GB R2100 5G ruggedized modem/wireless router delivers high-performance connectivity for vehicles, IoT deployments, public safety networks, mass transit, and mobile operations. Its integrated 5G NR and Cat 20 LTE modem, antennas, and router are housed in a single ruggedized enclosure for simplified installation on vehicle roofs or IoT cabinet enclosures. The Wi-Fi 6 design supports fast, reliable wireless access for connected devices and demanding edge applications.

Flexible 5G Connectivity for Vehicle and IoT Networks

Use the R2105-5GB as a self-contained 5G router or deploy it as a high-performance 5G adapter for a compatible Ericsson CradlePoint controlling router. In captive modem mode, the unit can be managed through Ericsson NetCloud as part of a unified networking solution. It can also provide an additional Wi-Fi source for applications such as video offload and expanded coverage. Power options include a standard power cable or Power over Ethernet (PoE), eliminating the need for separate coaxial antenna cables and helping streamline deployment.

Cloud Management, Security, and Visibility

Compatible Ericsson NetCloud service plans provide centralized policy management, software and firmware updates, support, training, and subscription-based warranty coverage. NetCloud analytics use GNSS/GPS and 5G or 4G cellular health data to track current and historical vehicle locations, monitor signal strength, and create detailed coverage maps. Security capabilities include an application-aware zone-based firewall, CP Secure Threat Management with IPS and IDS, CP Secure Web Filter, and support for NetCloud Exchange zero-trust networking. The R2105-5GB is TAA compliant and RoHS compliant, making it well suited for government, transportation, public safety, and commercial deployments requiring managed, secure edge connectivity. The package includes the modem/wireless router, a GPIO cable, a small accessories kit, and a mounting template.
