Designed for cabinet mounting or exterior vehicle installation, the R2100 delivers high-performance cellular connectivity without the complexity of separate components and coaxial cabling.

Flexible 5G Connectivity for Vehicle and IoT Networks

The R2155-5GB can operate as a self-contained 5G router or supplement an existing Ericsson CradlePoint router as a high-performance 5G adapter. In captive modem mode, supported controlling routers can manage the R2100 through Ericsson NetCloud Manager as a unified solution. Power over Ethernet (PoE) support enables convenient deployment while delivering a reliable 5G connection over Ethernet. The integrated Wi-Fi 6 capability can also provide an additional wireless source for applications such as video offload and expanded vehicle coverage.

Centralized Management, Security, and Visibility

When paired with an eligible Ericsson NetCloud service subscription, the R2155-5GB supports centralized policy management, software and firmware updates, online training, and technical support. NetCloud analytics use GNSS/GPS and 5G or 4G cellular health data to provide current and historical vehicle locations, signal-strength visibility, and coverage mapping. Security capabilities may include an application-aware zone-based firewall, CP Secure Threat Management with IPS/IDS, and CP Secure Web Filter. Support for NetCloud Exchange adds zero-trust networking and streamlined WAN security policies for distributed deployments.

The Ericsson CradlePoint R2155-5GB is TAA compliant and RoHS compliant, making it suitable for organizations with procurement and environmental requirements. Its ruggedized design, cabinet-mount form factor, and integrated connectivity features help reduce deployment complexity while supporting secure, scalable edge networking.
