CO Alarm 12/24V DC with Interconnect - White
A Carbon Monoxide (CO) detector should be installed in each accommodation space. Small crafts or RVs with an open design may require only one (1) detector for adequate protection. If two (2) or more sleeping areas or spaces are partitioned, then one (1) detector should be installed in each of the spaces.
The Fireboy-Xintex CMD6-M Series CO alarm uses a sensor operating with a microprocessor to measure Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels. Using a Time Weighted Average (TWA) process, it monitors CO concentration, temperature and time to calculate levels of Carboxyhemoglobin (COHb). COHb is the degree to which the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood is impeded by the union of carbon monoxide to the hemoglobin and as expressed as a percentage. The human body absorbs CO easier than oxygen and COHb is the ratio absorbed carbon monoxide to oxygen in bloodstream.
The CMD6-M alarm calculates the COHb as function of time and determines the appropriate alarm response.
*Long sensor life approximately 7 year end-of-life (EOL)

The Fireboy-Xintex CMD6-MDR-R Carbon Monoxide (CO) alarm is designed for comprehensive safety in RVs, boats, and small craft with open or partitioned living areas. This alarm features a microprocessor-controlled sensor that continuously monitors CO levels using a time-weighted average process, providing reliable detection of dangerous CO concentrations. Its compact and discreet design allows for easy installation, ensuring protection without cluttering the living space. The device can be interconnected with up to ten other alarms, enabling all units to sound simultaneously in case of an emergency, enhancing safety across multiple compartments or sleeping areas. The CMD6-MDR-R operates on 12V or 24V DC power sources, making it suitable for marine and RV applications, and includes a permanent internal backup Lithium-metal battery to maintain functionality even during power interruptions. The alarm has a typical lifespan of approximately 7 years, reducing maintenance frequency while providing long-term peace of mind. The unit's high alarm horn output of 85 dBA ensures audible alerts are heard clearly, even in noisy environments. Its resistance to chemicals, solvents, and cleaners ensures durability and consistent performance over time. This model features an alarm point at 10% COHb, indicating a dangerous level of carbon monoxide in the bloodstream, which is critical for timely evacuation. The interconnect capability and low power consumption make the Fireboy-Xintex CMD6-MDR-R an essential safety component for mobile safety systems where reliable, early detection of CO is vital for occupant safety.
