Tilted Element Thru-Hull

Minimize Your Drag
The P19 model have been the standard in low-profile models for many years. Their large sensitive ceramics allow deep echosounding up to 206M (700'). These nearly flush units minimize drag as only 5mm (2/10") of the housing extends outside of the hull. The plastic P19 provides a vertical beam without a fairing. Inside the housing, the ceramic element is tilted to provide built-in deadrise compensation. The resulting vertical beam provides excellent echo returns for moreaccurate depth readings.

Applications
  • Cruising powerboats and sailboats
  • Sailboats

The Garmin P19 Nylon 12 Tilt Transducer (Part Number: 010-10218-21) is designed to deliver precise depth readings with minimal drag for small boats and sailboats. Its nearly flush plastic housing extends only about 0.2 inches outside the hull, reducing water resistance while maintaining high sensitivity. Equipped with large sensitive ceramics, the P19 model can provide echosounding depths up to 700 feet (206 meters), making it suitable for a variety of marine applications. The transducer's innovative tilted ceramic element achieves built-in deadrise compensation, providing a vertical beam that ensures accurate depth and temperature readings even in uneven hull deadrise conditions. Its fixed 12-degree tilt is compatible with hull deadrise angles ranging from 8 to 15 degrees, ensuring proper installation on a variety of vessel types.

Designed with durability and ease of installation in mind, the Garmin P19 transducer features a right-angle cable exit for low headroom and protection when stepped on. The included rubber washer allows for secure tightening on irregular hull surfaces, and the housing complies with ABYC H-27 standards for safety and reliability. It offers options for depth-only or combined depth and temperature measurements, providing versatility for navigation and marine monitoring. Suitable for vessels up to 30 feet (approximately 9 meters), this transducer is ideal for both cruising powerboats and sailboats, enhancing your depth-sounding capabilities with professional-grade technology.
