The BLU-50's core feature, BLU link, is a low-latency, fault-tolerant digital audio bus capable of transmitting 48 channels over standard Category 5e cabling for distances up to 100 meters. For longer runs, fiber media converters extend this distance to over 6 miles using single-mode fiber, making it suitable for large-scale installations. Fully compatible with HiQnet Audio Architect™, the BLU-50 integrates with other Soundweb London devices, enabling centralized control and monitoring. Its 48-channel BLU link bus can be pooled with channels from other units like the BLU-800, BLU-320, and BLU-160, supporting up to 60 devices on a single bus. Additionally, the device offers 12 control inputs, six logic outputs, and an RS-232 port, facilitating extensive integration with other audio, control, and automation systems.
