The 9000 Series Gateway is optimized for SD-WAN deployment, supporting Aruba’s SD-WAN fabric out of the box. It simplifies traffic management across multiple WAN connections and incorporates security features such as role-based intrusion detection and prevention (IDS/IPS), dynamic segmentation, and a stateful firewall, ensuring secure and efficient branch connectivity. The gateway can also be repurposed as a Mobility Controller for WLAN and LAN services, including dynamic segmentation and live upgrades, although it cannot perform both roles simultaneously.
