The HPE Aruba AP-655 Wireless Access Point delivers enterprise-grade wireless connectivity for organizations with growing demands for bandwidth, capacity, and reliable coverage. As part of the Aruba 650 Series, the AP-655 uses the 6 GHz band to provide access to additional spectrum, wider channels, and reduced congestion compared with previous Wi-Fi generations. Its three 4x4 MIMO radios provide a combined peak wireless data rate of up to 7.8 Gbps, supporting high-definition video, cloud applications, dense client environments, and bandwidth-intensive augmented or virtual reality deployments.

Expanded Capacity with Reduced Interference

Wi-Fi 6E enables access to up to 1,200 MHz of additional 6 GHz spectrum and as many as seven 160 MHz channels for high-throughput, low-latency applications. Because legacy Wi-Fi devices cannot operate in the 6 GHz band, compatible clients can experience less congestion and more consistent performance. Aruba ultra tri-band filtering allows the AP-655 to use the 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands concurrently while minimizing interference between closely spaced channels. This helps organizations make full use of available spectrum while reducing coverage gaps and performance limitations.

Resilient Connectivity and Flexible Deployment

The HPE Aruba AP-655 includes two configurable HPE Smart Rate Ethernet ports supporting 1, 2.5, or 5 Gbps operation. These ports provide high-speed wired connectivity and support hitless failover for data and power, helping maintain service continuity for mission-critical applications. The internal antenna design and ceiling-mountable form factor support discreet installation across offices, campuses, educational facilities, healthcare environments, and other indoor deployments. As a low-power indoor 6 GHz device, the AP-655 is designed for fixed indoor operation without requiring Automated Frequency Coordination service.
