The ICY DOCK ExpressCage MB732SPO-B transforms an internal 5.25-inch drive bay into a versatile storage and media expansion solution. It accommodates two hot-swappable 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs along with one slim or ultra-slim optical disc drive, supporting CD, DVD, and Blu-ray readers. Designed for small-form-factor computers, home-theater PCs, workstations, and media systems, this internal drive enclosure helps maximize storage capacity without requiring additional external hardware.

The multifunctional optical drive bay supports slim drives and ultra-slim drives using the included spacer. When an optical drive is not installed, or when an ultra-slim drive is used, the detachable faceplate can serve as a protective dust cover and can be stored inside the enclosure. Each hot-swap bay includes a removable ExpressTray caddy with a tool-less drive-gripping mechanism that makes drive installation and maintenance fast and convenient. Included screws provide additional retention when transporting drives outside the enclosure.

For dependable operation, the MB732SPO-B features a rugged metal chassis, durable ABS drive caddies, and ventilation openings that support passive cooling through ICY DOCK Multi-Flow Technology. Blue activity indicators provide a clear view of drive status, while individual power switches help conserve energy and reduce unnecessary connector wear. Active Power Technology powers a bay only when a drive is installed, helping improve efficiency during operation.

The ExpressCage MB732SPO-B supports SATA data and power connections with locking latches, as well as single-channel SAS and SATA interfaces up to 6Gbps with hot-swapping. It fits a standard external 5.25-inch bay and supports compatible 2.5-inch drives in common slim profiles.
