The adapter also supports Thunderbolt 3 and 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 3.2 Gen 1, and USB 2.0 connections, making it suitable for professional workstations, modern laptops, Macs, field systems, and test environments.

Tool-Less Installation and Broad Drive Compatibility

Designed for efficient drive access, the MB307U-1VB uses a tool-less slot that accepts bare U.2 and U.3 SSDs with an SFF-8639 connector. It can also accommodate compatible third-party drive trays from Dell, HP, Supermicro, and other server manufacturers, allowing users to access enterprise SSDs without removing them from their carriers. This makes the adapter useful for drive cloning, diagnostics, data recovery, system testing, content production, and frequent SSD swaps.
