The ICY DOCK ToughArmor MB834M2K-B is a rugged internal mobile rack that provides front-access installation and management for two M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs. Designed for installation in a standard external 3.5-inch drive bay or floppy bay, this enclosure eliminates the need to mount M.2 drives directly to a motherboard or riser card with small, easily misplaced screws. Its tool-less drive trays make installation, removal, maintenance, and system upgrades faster and more convenient.

Each tray supports standard M.2 NVMe SSD lengths, including 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 formats. An adjustable drive locker securely holds compatible drives in place, while the eagle-hook tray latch helps keep each tray secured inside the enclosure. The MB834M2K-B connects through a MiniSAS HD SFF-8643 interface and requires an NVMe-compatible host system. With support for PCIe x4 NVMe bandwidth up to 32Gbps, it is well suited for high-performance storage applications.

Built for demanding environments, the ToughArmor MB834M2K-B features a durable full-metal enclosure, ventilation openings, and large high-efficiency aluminum heat sinks to support passive cooling during sustained workloads. A two-segment barrel key lock helps protect the installed drives from unauthorized physical access. The black internal rack includes thermal pads and mounting screws, and it is backed by a three-year limited warranty for added confidence.
