ICY DOCK ToughArmor MB834MK-B V2 is a rugged two-bay removable enclosure for installing M.2 NVMe SSDs in a standard external 3.5-inch drive bay or floppy bay. Designed for internal workstation, server, and high-performance computer applications, it connects through two SlimSAS 4i (SFF-8654) interfaces and supports PCIe 4.0 NVMe bandwidth up to 64Gbps when paired with a compatible NVMe host or supported Tri-Mode controller.

Each removable tray accepts standard M.2 NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 form factors. The adjustable, tool-less drive locker secures different drive lengths without mounting screws, allowing SSDs to be installed or replaced from the front of the system without opening the computer case. A tool-less high-efficiency aluminum heat sink and ventilation openings support passive cooling to help maintain reliable drive performance during demanding workloads.

Built for protection and convenient maintenance, the MB834MK-B V2 features a ruggedized metal enclosure, two-segment key locks, and an eagle-hook tray latch that helps keep each tray securely in place. ICY DOCK EMI Grounding Technology helps protect installed SSDs from static electrical damage during drive swaps, while Anti-Vibration Technology helps reduce vibration-related noise and environmental stress. Active Power Technology powers down an empty drive bay to help reduce unnecessary power usage.

The ToughArmor MB834MK-B V2 is also compatible with select Tri-Mode controller cards from manufacturers such as Broadcom and Areca; compatibility depends on the controller and cable configuration. The enclosure includes thermal pads, mounting screws, keys, and a user manual, and is backed by a five-year limited warranty.
