Jabsco flexible impellers can be fitted to most makes and models of bronze flexible impeller engine cooling, bilge, transfer and general purpose pumps.
Jabsco flexible impellers are subjected to rigorous quality processes to ensure reliable, efficient and long lasting performance.

Replace all impellers at least once every year, or sooner, depending on the engine duty. When the installation is correct an impeller may last for several years, but it is always advisable to stick to a schedule of preventative, rather than corrective, maintenance.

Replacing impellers is easy. By removing the end cover screws, it is possible to remove the impeller by using either a Jabsco Impeller Removal Tool, or channel lock pliers, to grip the hub of the impeller. Dont use screwdrivers as they may damage the face of the pump body, causing leaks, and they can be dangerous in confined spaces.

Always carry spare impellers on board in case of emergency. The impeller is one of the most vital components of the engine cooling system and should always be treated as such.

Always grease new impellers. Firstly, it makes it easier to install the impeller into the pump bore, and secondly it gives added protection to the impeller during initial prime. After replacing the gasket and end cover the pump is ready to use.

  • The Jabsco Impeller Kit, part number 9200-0023-P, features a durable 10-blade impeller made from high-quality nitrile material designed for reliable performance in engine cooling, bilge, transfer, and general-purpose pumps. Its single flat drive type ensures compatibility with a wide range of pump models. The impeller's diameter measures approximately 1-19/32 inches, with a shaft width of 5/16 inch and a shaft diameter of 3/4 inch, making it suitable for various pump configurations. The insert is crafted from brass to provide durability and corrosion resistance, enhancing the impeller's longevity and operational efficiency.

Jabsco's flexible impellers undergo rigorous quality testing to ensure they deliver consistent, long-lasting performance. Proper maintenance involves replacing all impellers at least once a year or more frequently depending on engine usage. When installed correctly, these impellers can last several years, but adhering to a preventative maintenance schedule is recommended to prevent unexpected failures. Replacing the impeller is straightforward; by removing the end cover screws and using a Jabsco Impeller Removal Tool or channel lock pliers to grip the hub, operators can efficiently replace worn or damaged impellers without risking damage to the pump. It is advisable to carry spare impellers onboard for emergency replacements to minimize downtime.

Applying grease to the new impeller prior to installation facilitates easier fitting into the pump bore and provides added protection during initial priming. After reassembling the pump with a new gasket and end cover, the system is ready for operation. Regular inspection and maintenance of the impeller are essential for reliable pump performance, especially in critical engine cooling applications. As a precaution, always handle impellers carefully, and never use screwdrivers for removal to prevent damage or injury. Proper maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pump system.
