This converter facilitates the integration of fiber optic cabling into existing copper-based networks, enabling extended network reach and improved performance. Operating at Layer 2, it provides not only copper-to-fiber conversion but also rate conversion capabilities, allowing legacy 10Base-T devices to connect to faster 100Base-FX fiber networks. This makes it an ideal solution for upgrading network infrastructure without the need for extensive rewiring or hardware replacements.
