The Mellanox LinkX MCP1600-E005E26 100Gb/s QSFP28 passive direct attach copper cable provides high-speed, cost-effective connectivity for InfiniBand 100Gb/s EDR and compatible data center networking applications. Designed as an alternative to fiber optic interconnects for short-distance connections, this NVIDIA Corporation cable supports high bandwidth while helping reduce power consumption and infrastructure complexity.
Each QSFP28 end contains four high-speed copper pairs capable of operating at data rates up to 25Gb/s per lane for an aggregate throughput of up to 100Gb/s. The integrated EEPROM stores product information that can be read by the host system, while the SFF-8665-compliant QSFP28 interface and SFF-8636-compliant I²C management interface support compatibility with appropriate networking equipment. The cable is hot pluggable and uses a single 3.3V supply voltage.
Built for reliable deployment, the Mellanox MCP1600-E005E26 is tested to help provide consistent out-of-the-box installation, performance, and durability. It delivers a bit error rate better than 1E-15 with Mellanox systems and operates across a case temperature range of 32°F to 158°F. The black LSZH jacket supports low-smoke, zero-halogen requirements, while the lead-free and halogen-free PCB design and RoHS compliance support environmentally responsible data center installations.
