SKU:35-0082
The Motorshop Replica Linkert M74 Carburetor Assembly, Part 35-0082, is designed for select Harley-Davidson FL models from 1948 through 1957. This 1-1/2-inch carburetor assembly includes the top throttle arm assembly installed and features a 1-5/8-inch venturi for reliable performance and proper airflow. Each carburetor is supplied in a natural finish or painted black, matching the original-style appearance of the application.
Built with brand-new components, this assembled carburetor includes a nitrophyl float designed to resist sinking and support dependable fuel control. The throttle arm is specifically configured for 1949-1965 FL models. Related parts and installation hardware must be ordered separately. This unit is sold outright, so no exchange core is required. The assembly is built by the V-Twin Motor Shop in New York and provides a practical replacement for worn or damaged original carburetor components.
For proper setup, technical adjustments may be required during installation. Recommended tuning includes raising the float level by 1/8 inch, enlarging the small idle slot hole behind the plug by 0.005 inch, and orienting the main jet baloney slice toward the engine for improved fuel spray. The M-74 jet should face the high-speed needle, while the remaining holes should be plugged. Always verify final calibration for the specific motorcycle and engine configuration.
This Motorshop carburetor cross-references OEM numbers 27130-48 and 1134-48A and is compatible with 1948-1957 Harley-Davidson FL applications. Installation instructions are available at http://www.vtwinmfg.com/Instructions/35/35-0082.pdf. Related hardware and replacement carburetor options are available separately for completing the installation or supporting future service needs.
