The Motorshop WR 45 Inch Cam Cover Alloy is specifically designed for Harley Davidson G models from 1937 to 1946, delivering a precise fit and reliable performance for early-Vintage WLXR magneto setups on the right side of the engine case. This alloy cam cover comes with 5 bushings installed and will accept vertical or horizontal magnetos.

WR 45 inch alloy cam cover includes 5 bushings installed and will accept vertical or horizontal magnetos. Accepts stock oil feed pump breather and scavenger tube. This cam cover features a relocated stud hole for the idler shaft, accommodating the 45-inch WL installation of the XR magneto and related gears on the right side of the engine case. The cover bushings are standard, intended for use with bushings rather than ball bearings, providing compatibility with existing components. When installing, it is essential to weld additional material onto the cam cover to facilitate the stud relocation and ensure proper clearance for the front mount magneto. The cover is intended for use with the magneto drive gear and idler gear stud installed in the right engine case, with the magneto drive gear in the case requiring movement via an adapter stud to position the idler gear accurately with ball bearings.
Please note, this kit does not include the Peek-A-Boo WR cam cover, but it can be fitted with a WR ball bearing if detailed machining is performed. For optimal results, it is recommended to use the suggested magneto idler gear spindle and stud, with pre-checks on the bushing height, distributor drive hole, and wall integrity before final assembly. This ensures proper function and reduces the risk of leaks or misalignment.
