The Omnitron Systems FlexPoint 10/100, Part Number 4343-1, is a modular Ethernet media converter designed to extend 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX copper network connections over 100BASE-FX single-mode fiber. This US AC-powered model features an ST fiber connector and supports single-mode fiber transmission up to 30 kilometers, providing dependable connectivity for enterprise, industrial, campus, and telecommunications networks. Its wall-mountable design supports flexible installation, while optional rackmount compatibility helps simplify organized equipment deployment.
The converter includes a 10/100 auto-sensing RJ-45 port that automatically selects the highest performance supported by the connected device. An override switch provides manual control over 10/100 operation and half- or full-duplex settings for both copper and fiber ports. In auto-negotiation mode, the RJ-45 interface automatically detects and configures MDI/MDI-X crossover. For manually configured networks, a dedicated switch enables direct control of the crossover setting for compatibility with legacy equipment and specialized network requirements.
The fiber interface supports fixed connectors such as ST, SC, and LC across the FlexPoint 10/100 platform, as well as Small Form Pluggable transceivers for broader fiber, distance, and wavelength flexibility. Supported configurations include multimode, single-mode, single-fiber, standard wavelength, and CWDM applications, depending on the installed interface. Clearly labeled switches and LED indicators simplify setup and provide visibility into power, link status, activity, speed, and duplex operation. The package includes the FlexPoint 10/100 converter, a US 120-volt, 60 Hz power supply, and a user manual. Omnitron Systems backs the unit with a limited lifetime warranty.
