The Perle S-1110HP-SFP-XT Fiber Media Converter, part number 05079900, connects copper Ethernet equipment to fiber networks while delivering up to 100 watts of IEEE 802.3bt-compliant High-Power over Ethernet (Hi-PoE) power. Designed for demanding industrial and outdoor deployments, it operates reliably from -40°F to +167°F. This makes it suitable for traffic management systems, oil and gas infrastructure, weather monitoring equipment, security cameras, wireless access points, alarms, sensors, tracking devices, and other equipment exposed to severe temperatures.
As Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE), the Perle S-1110HP-SFP-XT supplies power and data over standard twisted-pair Ethernet cabling to compatible Powered Devices (PDs). It supports IEEE 802.3bt Hi-PoE up to 100 watts and is backward compatible with IEEE 802.3af PoE and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ devices, as well as compatible pre-standard solutions such as UPoE, 4PPoE, PoE++, UltraPoE, and 4 Pair PoE. Depending on the configuration, the converter provides single or dual 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 PoE ports for powering one or two connected devices.
One or two open SFP transceiver slots support flexible fiber network designs using Perle, Cisco, or other MSA-compliant SFP modules. The converter enables 10/100/1000Base-T copper equipment to communicate over 100/1000Base-X multimode or single-mode fiber, extending network reach and helping protect Ethernet data from electromagnetic interference. Advanced management and troubleshooting functions include PD Reset, fiber redundancy, Smart Link Pass-Through, Fiber Fault Alert, Auto-Negotiation, Auto-MDIX, and Loopback. The standalone Perle Systems unit is RoHS compliant and includes a lifetime limited warranty with worldwide technical support.
