The Plugable USBC-TE1000 USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter adds reliable wired network connectivity to compatible laptops, ultrabooks, notebooks, and desktop computers. It is an effective solution for systems without an Ethernet port or for replacing older 10/100 adapters and inconsistent wireless connections. Connect the adapter to an available USB-C port and use the female RJ45 Ethernet jack for dependable network access, faster file transfers, HD video streaming, online gaming, web browsing, and network storage.

Designed for broad performance and compatibility, the USBC-TE1000 supports Gigabit Ethernet as well as 10/100 Ethernet networks at their native speeds. USB 3.0 systems can support theoretical transfer rates up to 5 Gbps, while USB 2.0 systems support up to 480 Mbps; actual network performance depends on the computer, network equipment, and connection. Advanced networking features include support for 4K jumbo frames, IPv4 and IPv6 checksum offload, crossover detection and auto-correction, TCP large send offload, and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet.

Installation is plug and play on many modern operating systems, including Windows 11 and 10, macOS, and ChromeOS. The Realtek RTL8153 chipset provides proven compatibility, while Microsoft-signed drivers support Windows 11, 10, 8/8.1, and 7. macOS 10.6 and later are supported, and Linux kernels 3.9 and later include the required driver.
