In a SeaTalkng installation, a backbone cable runs through the length of the boat.
Individual devices connect to the backbone by spur cables that run to T-pieces on the backbone. The backbone carries both data and power to attached devices. The backbone should be sized so that it will run past every location where an NG or NMEA 2000 device might be installed.
Two backbone cable lengths can be joined together by part A06030, a backbone extender.
The Raymarine A06037 20-meter backbone cable is designed for seamless integration within SeaTalkng marine networking systems. This high-quality backbone cable facilitates the connection of multiple NMEA 2000 devices across your boat, enabling reliable data transfer and power distribution. Its robust construction ensures durability in marine environments, providing a stable backbone for your navigation and instrumentation setup. The cable's length allows for flexible installation, running through the length of your vessel to reach all necessary device locations. It supports easy connection to spur cables and T-pieces, streamlining the setup process and maintenance. Whether you're expanding an existing network or installing a new system, this backbone cable is an essential component for efficient and reliable marine electronics connectivity.
