PWC 500 GPH Automatic Pump

In the next generation sensing bilge pumps, the 500 GPH S-Series pump works on the principle of impeller resistance. The pump will turn on every 2-1/2 minutes for about one second to sense for water. If water is present, the pump will sense resistance and continue to run until all water is removed. After that, it will resume checking for water every 2-1/2 minutes. Water is kept in check between 1/8" and 3/8". Improved design and performance means that our new 500 GPH pump will produce this flow at just 12 volts rather than 13.6 volts as previously required, more typical of on board voltage supply. Our next generation of Rule pumps include check valves and to do this we've created a hidden air vent to prevent airlocking. Under each strainer tab there is a small hole that vents any air trapped in the pump housing preventing airlocks. Rule has true electromagnetic suppression (EMC) and have a built-in thermal cell that protects the pump and the vessel when things get too hot. These are the smallest automatic pumps on the market.

Features:

  • Completely automatic with manual override; no float switch needed
  • Submersible and ignition protected
  • High efficiency, low amp motor
  • Stainless-steel shaft
  • Includes backflow preventer

The Rule PWC 500 GPH Automatic Bilge Pump is designed for reliable and maintenance-free water management in marine applications. Utilizing next-generation sensing technology based on impeller resistance, this pump automatically detects water levels between 1/8" and 3/8" and activates to pump out water when necessary. The pump cycles every 2-1/2 minutes to check for water, turning on only when resistance indicates the presence of water, ensuring efficient operation without the need for manual intervention or float switches. Its improved design allows it to operate at just 12 volts, making it compatible with typical onboard power supplies, and it delivers a flow rate of 500 gallons per hour, making it suitable for smaller bilge areas or other water removal needs. The pump features a stainless-steel shaft for durability and a high-efficiency, low-amperage motor that minimizes power consumption and heat generation. Built-in check valves and a hidden air vent system prevent airlocks, ensuring consistent performance and easier installation. The pump is completely submersible and ignition protected, providing safety and versatility in various marine environments. For added peace of mind, the Rule PWC 500 GPH pump includes a backflow preventer to stop water from returning and a thermal cell that protects the pump and vessel from overheating. Its compact size makes it one of the smallest automatic bilge pumps available, ideal for tight spaces and demanding applications. Whether for bilge management or other water transfer tasks, this pump combines innovative features with reliable operation to meet the needs of boat owners and marine professionals alike.
