StarTech.com 8K-AOC-15M-DP-CABLE 15M DisplayPort 1.4 Hybrid Active Optical Cable

StarTech 15m (49.2ft) DisplayPort 1.4 Hybrid Active Optical Cable (AOC), CMP Plenum, 8K 60Hz, 32.4Gbps, Active DisplayPort Cable

The StarTech.com 8K-AOC-15M-DP-CABLE is a DisplayPort 1.4 hybrid active optical cable designed for long-distance commercial video and audio transmission. It supports up to 32.4Gbps of total bandwidth through High Bit Rate 3 (HBR3), with DSC-compressed video up to 8K at 60Hz and uncompressed video up to 4K at 120Hz. HDR10 and HDCP 2.3 support help deliver high-contrast content and protected connections between compatible source and display equipment.

Its hybrid construction uses fiber optic cores for high-bandwidth video and copper conductors for lower-bandwidth signals such as EDID and HDCP. Shielded copper conductors and fiber cores help reduce electromagnetic interference over extended runs. The cable also supports 32-channel audio and 7.1 surround sound formats for compatible systems.

The CMP-rated jacket is designed for routing through commercial plenum spaces, including ceilings, walls, in-wall pathways and overhead areas where low-smoke and flame characteristics are required. Aramid fiber reinforcement adds tensile strength during installation and supports repeated bending, while the flexible black cable design is suited to space-constrained routes.

This cable is unidirectional and must be installed according to the Source and Display markings on the connectors. Latching DisplayPort connectors help minimize accidental disconnects, and etched DisplayPort 1.4 specifications on the Quick ID connectors provide at-a-glance identification during installation. The cable is intended for commercial applications and includes a 2-year limited warranty.
