StarTech.com 8K-AOC-30M-DP-CABLE 30 m DisplayPort 1.4 Hybrid Active Optical Cable

StarTech 30m (98.4ft) DisplayPort 1.4 Hybrid Active Optical Cable (AOC), CMP Plenum, 8K 60Hz, 32.4Gbps, Active DisplayPort Cable

Extend DisplayPort connectivity for commercial installations with the StarTech.com 8K-AOC-30M-DP-CABLE hybrid active optical cable. Designed for long-distance transmission, this DisplayPort 1.4 cable supports 8K 60Hz video with HDR10, high-quality audio, and up to 32.4Gbps of total bandwidth without requiring external power.

The hybrid construction carries low-bandwidth signals such as EDID and HDCP over shielded copper conductors while transmitting full video bandwidth through fiber optic cores. This design helps reduce electromagnetic interference over extended runs. Support includes HBR3, HDCP 2.3, Display Stream Compression 1.2, Forward Error Correction, and DSC-compressed video up to 8K 60Hz, 5K 144Hz, or 4K 240Hz. Uncompressed video is supported up to 4K 120Hz with 4:4:4 8-bit color.

Its CMP-rated, flame-resistant jacket is suited for routing through commercial plenum spaces, including in-wall and overhead pathways. Aramid fiber reinforcement adds tensile strength during pulls and supports more than 6,000 bending cycles at 120 degrees. The black cable uses a flexible construction for space-constrained installations, while latching DisplayPort connectors help minimize accidental disconnects.

This cable is unidirectional and must be installed according to the Source and Display labels on the connectors. Quick ID connectors include etched DisplayPort 1.4 specifications to help identify supported bandwidth during installation. The cable also supports 32-channel audio and 7.1 surround sound formats. It is intended for commercial applications and includes a limited two-year warranty.
