The TACO Marine Grand Slam 400 Outrigger Top Mount pair is engineered for demanding marine applications, specifically designed to support boats exceeding 50 feet in length with quad engines over 1600 horsepower. Constructed from durable aluminum and carbon fiber, these mounts provide the strength and stability necessary for high-performance vessels. They are ideal for boats with multiple engines, offering enhanced support for outrigger poles up to 30 feet long, ensuring safety and performance on the water. The GS-400 series features an increased surface area on the hard top plate, providing a more secure mounting surface and reducing flex under load. The thickened 6" x 8" oval hard top plate, now 3/4 inch thick, adds rigidity, while the larger top tube with a longer bearing surface improves overall stability during operation. The extended upper casting prevents tube buckling, ensuring durability under stress. Compatible with 1-1/2 inch diameter TACO Marine aluminum and carbon fiber poles, these mounts are suitable for a variety of high-performance boat configurations. Designed with versatility in mind, the GS-400 mounts support 3, 4, or 5 engine setups, making them an excellent choice for large, powerful vessels. The hardware has been upgraded to include double the amount of top assembly fasteners compared to the Grand Slam 280 series, providing increased support and safety. Features such as a stainless lever grip for added strength, a mushroom outrigger twist and lock pin for single-handed operation, and an eight-bolt pattern attachment ensure secure and flexible installation. The backing plate has been increased to 1/2 inch thickness for extra reinforcement, and the mounts use the same bolt and hole pattern as previous Grand Slam series for compatibility. Sold in pairs, the TACO Marine Grand Slam 400 Outrigger Top Mounts come with a three-year limited warranty, offering confidence in their long-term performance.
