The Tripp Lite B161-101 HDMI over IP encoder and decoder kit provides a practical solution for extending and distributing high-quality video across professional AV installations. The complete kit includes one encoder and one decoder for point-to-point transmission up to 393 feet over compatible cabling, or scalable distribution through a standard Gigabit Ethernet network. Designed for digital signage, monitoring, conference rooms, trade shows, airports, campuses, hotels and shopping centers, the B161-101 follows TCP/IP standards for reliable AV over IP deployment.

Detailed Video and Low-Latency Performance

Advanced video lossless compression technology supports visually lossless 4K video at 30 Hz with low latency. The system supports 3D video and 12-bit color depth per channel for detailed, vibrant images. It handles HDMI signal transmission with up to 3.4 Gbps per channel and 10.2 Gbps across all channels, making it well suited for demanding commercial displays and multi-screen applications.

Scalable Installation and KVM Control

The B161-101 supports one-to-one and one-to-many configurations when used with additional Tripp Lite B161-001 receiver units, sold separately. Multiple decoders can be connected through a dedicated Ethernet switch for video walls, daisy-chain installations and wide-area deployments without the distance limitations of a direct connection. USB KVM functionality allows a computer connected to the transmitter to be controlled from the display side using a keyboard and mouse attached to the receiver.

Simple Setup for Professional Environments

Plug-and-play operation requires no software, helping streamline installation and configuration. The wall-mountable black housing is suitable for organized equipment deployment, while the included external power supplies, international plug adapters, USB cable and installation instructions support convenient setup in different regions.
