The Tripp Lite P581AB-006 connects laptops, desktop computers, tablets, Blu-ray players, game consoles, satellite or cable receivers, and other DisplayPort-equipped sources to monitors or televisions with DVI-D inputs. This 6-foot, male-to-male cable provides a direct connection without requiring a separate adapter, helping you continue using an existing DVI display with a compatible DisplayPort source. The cable is uni-directional and transmits video only from DisplayPort to DVI-D.

Antibacterial Construction for Shared Environments
The molded connectors and PVC jacket use an antibacterial material proven effective in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (staph). Secure Connections and DP++ Compatibility
Latching on the DisplayPort connector and thumbscrews on the DVI connector help keep the cable securely attached, reducing the risk of accidental disconnection and signal interruptions. Because this is a passive adapter cable, the connected DisplayPort source must support DisplayPort++ (DP++), also known as dual-mode DisplayPort, for DVI signal pass-through.
