The mode conversion allows your network connection to reach hubs, switches and other devices located up to 40 kilometers (24.9 miles) away. The N784-MDC-4STST is ideal for network engineers migrating toward higher-density data centers.

LEDs Indicate Installation Performance and Diagnostic Functions

Easy-to-read LEDs on the side of the mode converter indicate essential status information, including network speed and connection, signal diagnostics and unit power. LEDs indicate when a fiber cable has been severed or another cause of disruption in service has occurred.
