The V-Twin 53-0787 H-2 Battery Box and Top Kit includes a battery shell with top and terminal lugs. When assembled, the case and top provide the correct height of the OEM H-2 battery for an exact fit and original-style appearance.
The box accommodates a 12-volt, 5 Ah rechargeable sealed mini battery and a solid-state regulator. The installer must wire the sealed battery to the lugs on the supplied battery top, connecting it to the two lid terminal ports. The smaller battery may require spacing and shimming for proper fit.
A 6-volt or 12-volt battery must be ordered separately. Suggested battery options include the V-Twin 53-0442 6-volt, 14 Ah rechargeable sealed battery and 53-0444 12-volt, 5 Ah rechargeable sealed battery. This kit is not intended for electric-start applications.
